Who it’s for

Our clients are small and mid-sized businesses that want to professionalize their sales department. We work just as much with owners and co-owners responsible for growth and sustained sales as with sales directors.

That may be someone stepping into the role for the first time, or an experienced director who wants to take the team to another level by developing the skills of their best salespeople.

Are we the right partner?

We are the right partner if:

  • Your team has at least 1 salesperson and no more than 50, including you.
  • Sales are a priority for your organization.
  • You have control over your department and over the structure to be put in place.
  • Your business is already operating and you want to improve your sales situation.
  • You work in French and/or in English.
  • You have clear expectations for an engagement with a firm such as RDVCB.

8 examples you might recognize yourself in

First hire

The owner hiring their first salesperson

You are wondering whether you are ready, what you need to provide that person, how to set realistic expectations, and whether you truly need a full-time resource.

We prepare the role before the hire: defined mandate, territory, quantified expectations, minimum tooling and an onboarding path. You stop hoping the right person will guess what you expect.

Tools without results

The director who already has every tool

CRM, lead generation platform, automation, artificial intelligence: it is all in place. But the team does not use it properly, and sales are not going up.

We align the tools with the real process rather than the reverse, strip out what serves no purpose and tie every data point to a decision. An unused tool is a symptom, never the cause.

Business acquisition

The new owner of an acquired business

You discover the selling methods lived in former employees’ heads, that everyone worked their own way, and that past wins are hard to reproduce.

We document what still works, fill in what disappeared and rebuild a transferable sales cycle. Your company stops depending on a few people’s memory.

Remote team

The manager of a remote team

You want to be sure the work gets done, that it is good work, that direction is followed and that discipline holds, without slipping into constant surveillance.

We install management rituals and indicators that make the work visible on its own: pipeline reviews, one-on-ones, dashboards. You track results, not people.

Growing your people

The company that wants to grow its current salespeople

You have good people in place. They need to build their skills, their posture, their discipline or their ability to handle larger accounts.

We train and coach at each person’s actual level, from beginner to expert, working on your live deals.

A hunch to confirm

The director who senses something is missing

The team delivers, the numbers are not alarming, but you are flying blind: you could not say precisely what is holding things back or where the untapped potential sits.

We put words and numbers on that hunch through a sales department diagnostic, then hand you a prioritized action plan. You finally know where to start.

No sales director

The salesperson who needs support, with no full-time director

Nobody in the organization has the time or the expertise to lead sales day to day, and creating a sales director position is not warranted right now.

We provide that leadership on an as-needed basis: coaching sessions, pipeline reviews, preparation for key deals and follow-up on targets. Your salesperson is supported without you having to create a role.

First leadership role

The director who has just accepted their first leadership role

You were an excellent salesperson, and you are discovering that leading calls for other skills: delegating, supervising, coaching, holding difficult conversations and answering for other people’s results.

We support you through the transition: structure for one-on-ones and team meetings, a coaching method, priority and performance management. You build your management posture with someone who has done it before.

Questions about fit

Is there a minimum team size to work with RDVCB?

No. We work with an owner selling alone and preparing a first hire just as readily as with a 50-person team across several territories. Beyond roughly fifty salespeople, the challenges become those of a large organization and other firms are better placed.

Do you work in specific industries?

No, and that is deliberate: around 250 industries covered to date. What matters is not your industry but the nature of your sale. If your cycle involves several conversations, needs discovery and a tailored proposal, the method applies.

Do we need a CRM or tools already in place?

No, and rest assured: this situation is far more common than you might think. Several of our engagements start with no particular tool, or simply with an Excel spreadsheet holding contacts and prospects.

You do not need everything structured before contacting us. We start from your current reality and build a structure suited to your needs, with you.

My rep does not update the CRM and does not follow up. Will training fix that?

Not necessarily. If the person has the potential and the willingness to progress, structure and coaching change a great deal. But if you constantly have to push to get the basics done, this is a human resources matter rather than a sales skills matter. We will tell you frankly as soon as we become aware of it.

Do you work with businesses selling to consumers (B2C)?

Yes, when the sale is consultative and involves products or services with high added value. For high-volume, low-unit-value retail, our approach is generally less relevant.

What if I do not yet know what is blocking us?

It is a common situation, and it is precisely the purpose of the discovery meeting. You do not need to have made your own diagnosis before requesting a call: simply describe the situation in a few lines, and we will tell you frankly whether we are the right partner to support you.
